Fancybox

I feel like this post is cheating.  No new photos, but I added Fancybox to the the site (www.fancybox.net).  A good friend @chrisfree (www.chrisfree.com) introduced me to Fancybox this week, and I have taken a liking to it.  I think that I might do my post using this from here on out, we’ll see how I like it.

Have a great weekend!

4th of July

The 4th of July is probably my favorite holiday of the year.  This year was much tamer than years past.  We traded in the speed boat for a pontoon this year, which was a lot of fun, but I still missed the Tahoe!  Here are a few photos from the weekend:

The Farm

I was down at our family farm this past weekend.  Its a great piece of land, very quite (unless we’re shooting, and I don’t me the camera).  I have a lot of good memories down at the farm, my first hunting trip with my dad and Grandpa, offroading in my old Explorer and countless trips shooting with friends and family.

On part of the property we have a creek that opens up into a small pond with train tracks that go across the water.  These photos were taken from the tressel.

Both of these images are multiples stitched together, I shot the original images with my new 35mm 1.8 lens, totally loving it.  The only issue I have is the auto focus is horribly slow, not AF-S quality in my book.

Also, about hit these two deer on my way home.

Nick & Marie Vow Renewal

Chel’s Aunt and Uncle renewed their vows last weekend.  Here are a couple of my favorite photos from the service.

The second image was taken with my new 35mm f1.8, that lens rocks!  I would definitely recommend one for anyone shooting on a DX Nikon body.

New Lens!

My B&H order arrived today.  I ordered a Nikon 35mm AF-S 1.8G DX.  I’ve only had a few minutes to play with it, but here are a couple images that I just snapped in my apartment.

Some slight color shift, from a sloppy save for web, but the images look good.

New site design and a cell phone photo

Seems like every six months I’m writing a post about a new site design. So I figured now was about that time. So bla bla bla, I’ve updated the site.

I am going to try to make an effort of posting more frequently, even if the photos are from my cell phone or untouched. My goal to start off is every other week.

Here is a photo that I found while looking through my phone this afternoon:

This photo was take while fishing out on Lake Erie a couple weeks ago.

Site status and Brazil update

So…as you might have figured out, I didn’t really get a chance to blog / post while I was in Brazil.  I have also changed the site from my custom made theme to this theme made by someone else.

At this point in time, I’m not really sure how I want my site to look, feel and function, so I’m using something that doesn’t take up a lot of my time to maintain.  I’m hoping to focus more on my photography and getting photos posted than worrying about how the site looks.  I’m hoping to have a handful of photos from Brazil posted this evening.  Check back soon!

Headed to Brazil

Well I’ve decided to attempt to blog about our trip. Right now I’m just using my cell phone to post. I will do a proper post in Atlanta.

Calfi Fashion Shoot

Yesterday we did a completely un-scheduled fashion shoot for Calfi Fashion.  The shoot was a lot of fun.  Chelli Look, Luda Olifiruk, and Vanessa Jackson all modeled some pencil skirts that Calfi designed.

This is one of the shots that I liked, I have done some minor touch-ups to it.  More photos and details to come.
