4th of July

The 4th of July is probably my favorite holiday of the year.  This year was much tamer than years past.  We traded in the speed boat for a pontoon this year, which was a lot of fun, but I still missed the Tahoe!  Here are a few photos from the weekend:

The Farm

I was down at our family farm this past weekend.  Its a great piece of land, very quite (unless we’re shooting, and I don’t me the camera).  I have a lot of good memories down at the farm, my first hunting trip with my dad and Grandpa, offroading in my old Explorer and countless trips [...]

Nick & Marie Vow Renewal

Chel’s Aunt and Uncle renewed their vows last weekend.  Here are a couple of my favorite photos from the service. The second image was taken with my new 35mm f1.8, that lens rocks!  I would definitely recommend one for anyone shooting on a DX Nikon body.

New Lens!

My B&H order arrived today.  I ordered a Nikon 35mm AF-S 1.8G DX.  I’ve only had a few minutes to play with it, but here are a couple images that I just snapped in my apartment. Some slight color shift, from a sloppy save for web, but the images look good.

Brazil 2010 – Round 1

This is the first round of images from our trip to Brazil.  I will be working on the Panoramas and HDR photos in the next few days.  More to come soon! The Discovery our chariot for the week! First dinner out in Brazil, a Brazilian steakhouse…was totally awesome. Building a church. Left: Little boy Right: [...]

Calfi Fashion Shoot

Yesterday we did a completely un-scheduled fashion shoot for Calfi Fashion.  The shoot was a lot of fun.  Chelli Look, Luda Olifiruk, and Vanessa Jackson all modeled some pencil skirts that Calfi designed. This is one of the shots that I liked, I have done some minor touch-ups to it.  More photos and details to [...]

Minnesota Trip

I went up to my sister’s this weekend.  She lives close to a small town called Pequot Lakes, which is north of Brainerd, MN.  Way up north!  Her house and land is beautiful!  I plan on having my Nikon the next time I am there, I was pretty upset that I only took my Cannon [...]

If I could keep one print

One of the artists that has inspired me over the last few years is John Paul Caponigro.  His work is excellent and having met him at Bradley while I was still in school was a very cool experience.  I read his blog on a regular basis, and in one of the last posts he made [...]

More Northwoods Prints Ready

I have finished up a few more prints from the Northwoods prints.  I have printed a few of these as well.  My favorite is the double print.  The Cabin and the Creek are printed 6in x 24in one on top of the other on a 13in x 26in sheet of paper.  Check out the Northwoods [...]
